Disconnect the negative (-) battery terminal. |

Remove the luggage side trim [RH].
(Refer to Body - "Luggage Side Trim") |

Disconnect the smart tailgate unit connector (A).

Remove the smart tailgate unit (A) after loosening the nuts.

Install the smart tailgate unit. |
| 2. |
Connect the smart tailgate unit connector. |
| 3. |
Install the luggage side trim [RH]. |
| 4. |
Connect the negative (-) battery terminal. |
