Replacement
1.
Disconnect the battery negative terminal.
2.
When the engine is cool, drain the engine coolant from the radiator.
(Refer to Engine Mechanical System - “Coolant”)
3.
Remove the luggage side trim [RH].
(Refer to Body - "Luggage Side Trim")
4.
Remove the rear heater core cover (A) after loosening screws.

5.
Disconnect the rear heater hose (A) from rear heater core.

   
Engine coolant will run out when the hoses are disconnected; drain it into a clean drip pan. Be sure not to let coolant spill on electrical parts or painted surfaces. If any coolant spills, rinse it off immediately.
6.
Remove the rear heater core (A) from the rear heater & A/C unit.

7.
Install in the reverse order of removal.
