Replacement

Take care to not let the tailgate fall on you as the lifts are removed. Have a helper hold the tailgate open, or use a secure method to hold it open.

Remove the tail gate lifter (A) after loosening the bolts and socket clip and bolts (B).

Tightening torque:

6.9~10.8 N.m (0.7~1.1 kgf.m, 5.1~8.0 lb-ft)

•	Power tail gate type. (Refer to Body Eletrical System - "PTG Spindle")

•	Using a flat head screwdriver (A), remove the clip (B).

Install in the reverse order of removal.

Make sure that the tail gate locks and opens properly and locks securely.
